Fall is upon our doors and we are falling in love with the naked cake trend. Many of our brides who look for the rustic and simply but sophisticates look for their weddings are opting for the naked cake. The cakes have exposed layers and are garnished with fruits or flowers. If you are opting for flowers, we recommend small bunches of blooming flowers or just greens, in order to maintain the simplicity of the cake. Gone are the over the top cake toppers as well, the new trend is metallic cut outs or just simple left alone. To add extra sweetness, we recommend drizzling the cake with caramel, chocolate, maple cream, buttercream, or ganache, all flavors that makes us feel cozy and warm for fall. Another note to take in for cakes is that wedding cakes are getting smaller and smaller as finger desserts are becoming part of the wedding cake table. We have put together some of the beautiful naked cakes that cake designers like Dress My Cake and Splendor Event Design have set up at our venues. As always we are here to cater to all our clients’ tastes and desires. Don’t hesitate to call and book a tour with us for your next great event.
